Hoka has a new sports marketing director for its EMEA market. Antoine Berthoud, who started at the company as a freelancer in 2013, will now oversee the brand’s sports event portfolio and consumer activations in the region.
“14 years ago, I joined HOKA as an intern. Today, I’m taking the next step as EMEA Sports Marketing Director at Hoka,” Berthoud announced on LinkedIn on Friday.
“From a start-up selling a few thousand pairs to a global company leading the industry, what started as a first step became such a big part of my life and career—filled with learning, challenges, mistakes, wins, and, above all, incredible people, projects and experiences. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who trusted me, challenged me, empowered me, supported me, and opened doors along the way. Thank You. I’m still learning, still as passionate as on Day 1, and more excited than ever for what is coming! Let’s Fly.”
Berthoud previously served as a sports marketing and events coordinator for the brand in Europe. His promotion comes in a time of growth for Hoka. The brand drove Deckers Brands' growth in Q1 sales, as reported in July, with net sales increasing by 7.7 percent to 703.50 million dollars compared to 653.10 million dollars in the prior period.
